-—; —-♦ NEW ZEALAND LADIES' ASSOCIATION. Tho annual general meeting of tho New Zealand Ladies' Hockey Association was held in tho'Y.M.C.A. rooms last week. In the absence of tlio president (Mr. T. If. Wilford) Mr. L. Jackson was elected to tlio chair. Tho committee, in presenting the twelfth annual report and balance-sheet, staled 'that the annual tournameut was held in Christchurcli, five associations being rwreBented. Congratulations were duo to the Canterbury representatives as winners of the cuDi also to the Wellington representatives as winners of the Floyd Shield. The secretary reported having reecivcil copies of the latest rules from -the Enslisli association. In regard to the proyosed tour of Australia by a Now Zealand team, the following were elected a committee to inquire into details r Miss Moore; Messrs. Griffin and , Salt with power to add to their mimebr. , The thanks .Ji the association were tendered to tho association's officers, and to Hr. J. D. JL. M'lntyre for the free use of his rooms.'. During .the year two special and eight committee meetings were licld. . The financial condition of the association was stated to be satisfactory, ther.e being a credit balance of £206 18s. lid. .in tho Post Office Savings Bank,, and £17 2s. '/d. in tho Union Bank of Australia. The election of officers resulted as fol- ' lows Patroness, Her Excellency Lady. Liverpool; president, Mr. T. M. VQlford,' M.P.; vice-presidents, Messrs.
