A LADY'S DISCOVERY.
A NEW RECIPE EOR BISCUITS. A wcll-knoTn Auckland business man /elates the following little episode which' actually occurred in his own home:— During the holidays the family were having afternoon tea with somo lady visitors, and amonj the eatables provided was a plato of home-made biscuits. After sampling these biscuits, tho business man said to his wife: "Amy, dear, what a delightful flavour you have managed to get into those Tiiscnits. They remind me of that famous London make we used to get." "Yes, indeed," said one. of the ladies present, "tho flavour is quite new to me-so delicately alluring. I have been trying to imagine how you got it." "An accidental discovery," said the hostess. "Ton would never guess." "Oh, do tell us,'' chorused tho ladies. "Well, I thought I would try an experiment, and I added a spoonful ■of Tucker's Custard Powder to my usual recipe. That is all." In response to further pleadings tho lady wrote out the recipe for her friends. Here it is:— Two cupfuls of rolled oats, 1 cupful of sugar. Mb. butter, 1 teaspoonfnl of Tuckers "Family" BaJcinjr Powdor. 1 tablespoonful of Tucker's Sunshine" Almond Custard Powder, 1 tableapoonful of flour, and 1 fgg. Bake on greased tray, A largo' ! tin of Tucker's "Sunshine" Custard Powder costs a littlo more than other brands, but it contains more, and is very much better value. Ask your grocer for "Sunshine" every timo.—Advt.
