♦ MAN INJURED, BUT RECOVERING. By Telegraph—Special Correspondent. Mastorton, April 21. As a result of n motor-car accident which occurred on Tuesday evening about the junction of Short and High Streets, Mastorton. Mr. 1?. J. Smith, builder, of Worksop Road, was rather seriously injured, and had to be removed to the Public Hospital. To-night he was reported to bo doing well. . It appears that Mr. Smith, with IU9 partnor, Mr. Percy Rose, who was driving, yrerft returning to Masterton at the time of tho accident. While the ORr was passing over some loofo metal. Mr. Roso stooped to adjust the oleetric lights. The next instant tho car crashed into a conoretß telegraph pole. Mr. Rose escaped with nothing more serious thau a shaking.
