.— $—: 272 CHINESE HAVE ARRIVED THIS YEAR, By Telegraph-Preps Association. Auckland, April 2!. Another party of Chinese and Hindus arrived in Auckland to-day by tha Riverina from Sydney. The Chinese numbered 15, including eight women. There wero Hindus, and they both passed tho reading test. This makes 272 Chinese who havo landed in Auckland since the beginning of tho year. The Hindus that have arrived. since January 1 number 90. The Hindu doctor Mani Lai, wljo was detained 011 tho Atua. was granted per* r.ission to land with his wife and children to-day.
