THEFT AND FORGERY
By Teleeraph—Press Association. Auckland, April 16. William John Mnrriett was txravroitted to the Suprssnc Court, for sentence on two charges of theft and one of forgery. Accused had parted from his wife, who lived with her father. Accused forged a bill of sale on his father-in-law's piano and certain furniture, and by pretending to be the owner of the goods, obtained JJIO from another man. He also entered the house and stole two new suits of clothe.*. Counsel said that Mnrriett had been subject to insults and had committed the crimes out of spite.
