LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., roport having held :i clearing sale on Thursday last at "Tc Hata," Itakuri, on account of Messrs. Bennett and Cnrrick, who huvo disposed of their proporty. Despite Iho inclement weather, there was a large attendance, and the sheep which came forward in very good condition met with lieen competition. 'The cattle, considering their condition and the state' of the cattle market at present, met a fnir sale, and dairy cows realised good prices. Thn following prices were realised:—Mixed aged Houincy ewes, 28s. 6d. to 295.; mixed aged Lincoln ewes, 275. lOd.i 2-tooth Lincoln wethers, 30s. 6d.; 2-tooth Komncy wethers, 28s. 4d.; shorn, wether lambs, 216. I<l.;' shorn ewe lambß, 21s. 2(1. to 225, i mixed,sex shorn lambs,-17s. 9d.; cull lambs, 125.; empty:owes, 225, lid., 235. 9d. to 25?.: 2J-ycar heifers, in calf. £7 7s. 6d.; lieht fat cows, £10; 2>,-year steers. £8 17s. (A.: mixed sex 18-month cattle, £4 10s.; cows and calves, £7 17i.; bulls, £11 17ts. 6d.r 4-ycar steers, £14 55.; dairy cows made from £13 ss. to £17; heifers, £9 to £10 2s. 6d.; harness mare £13 10s. ,
