HARRIERS
The unofficial opening run of the Olympic Harrier and A.A. Club, tooK place from Cliff Kiosk, Island Bay, on Saturday. Although the weather was threatening, rain hold off, and the course, which led round the road to Lyall Bay and back again, was covered at a very fair pace. There was a good muster of new members, ami, in the opinion of tho older members, they showed up remarkably well. At the closo of tho run, the members, at the invitation of Mr. A. JJavies (vice-president of. the 'lull) sat down to afternoon tea. During the afternoon, Mr. W. H. l'liilp (president) expressed tho hope that the members would turn out in full force for tho official opening of the season tho following Saturday. Thanks were expressed to the proprietress of the kiosk for her. hoip in the matter of accommodation, Die.
