At a sale of Hereford cattle 'hekl hero to-day oil Ijehalf of Mr, G. F. ..Moore (Kai Iwi) two-year-old heifers averaged 97J guineas; yearling heifers, 80gus. j heifer calves, 31gus.; yearling bulls, TOgns.; two-year-old bulls. GGgns.; old hulls, 25}gns.; run. bulls, 22Jgns. A yearling bull was sold at lOOOgns, to Mr. E. M. Hutchinsou (Gislwrne). The pHce is believed to be a record for New Zealand. The imported bull Rufus was bought by Sir. H. Campbell (Hawke's Bay) for 350gns. , Royal Navy, a locally-bred two-year-old hnimal, was bought by Mr.-E. M. Hutchinson (Gisburne)' for lOOOgns. Buyers were present from various pa'rta of the Dominion.
