A general'-meeting if theWairarapa Returned Soldiers' Association was held Inst night, Mr. J. A. CowTes presiding. It was decided that on the day of the 'Prince of Wales's arrival in Masterton tho returned men should "all in wearing mufti and ribbons or medals -8 ilio '■lullhouse in Essex Street, thence marching to the public park. ■ Regarding the Anzac. Day celebrations, it. wins decided to 'asl; the* eo-operatipn of the Masterton clergy in' the holditig of a united service in the Municipal Park during the afternoon,' the men to atlend in mufti, and' wearing \mednls or ribbons. On Monday day following Auzac Day—it was decided to hold a concert in the Opera House. Mr. W. Pellew proposed, and Mr. J. M'lvennie seconded, a motion that tho annual. reunion take the form of a smoke concert. • Some discussion +ook place as to whether the affair should be "wot" or "dry," it.'being (ncntioned that at the lost reunion a few unruly members had created a disturbance. Eventually the motion was carried. The reunion will bo held on June 1. find 110 liqnor will be supplied. Mr. J. Cowles was unanimously elected to represent the local association at the' functions to bo held in • Wellington in honour of the Prince of Wale?. It was decided to hold a Diggers' 801 l 011 a date to be decided on, and a committee was appointed to superintend the arrangements. It . was decided to devote the proceeds of the hair to a fund to establish a permanent roll of honour in the clubhouse. The average attendance at the Lansdmyne School for the month of March waß'39G. During the past six months or so, approximately. 150 new members have been admitted to the Masterton A. and P. Association.
