PAINTERS' CONDEMNATION OF SCRIM

The conference of the New Zealand Painters' Federation passed a resolution asking the Public Health Department to assist in the discovery of a substitute for scrim, and to make the use of Bcri-n illegal, once a substitute has been found. It was decided that headquarters this year should be at Christchurch, and tho following officers were elected: President, Mr. T.ee; vice-president. Mr. Sey; sccre'tarv, Mr. Clinborn; treasurer, Mr. Dell;, auditor, Mr. Lummis; committee, Messrs. Collins, Poison, and Bowden; Parliamentary Committee, Messrs. Nicol, Martin and Gapes.
