The Commander in Smyrna*' has called up all the Greeks between 20 nnd 30 years of age in readiness for any developments with Turkey. There are already six Greek divisions in Smyrna. ~ It is believed that the Turkish Chamber, whose sittings are indefinitely suspended, will refuse to meet for the purpose of ratifying tho Peace Treaty, which j will be presented on April 15. It is expected that the situation will then require every military unit the Allies can comninnd. The mutual hatred of the Greeks nnd Turks is growing a most serious obstacle to settlement.—Aus.-N.Z.
