SOUTHERN MARKETS
SHORTAGE 01'' RAILWAY TRUCKS. By. Telegraph—Proßß Association. Christchurch, April 1. Business in grain is quiet, and it would probably be a gqod deal brisker if some trucks were available to carry produce. Frrmers are'complaining a good deal in regard to tho truck shortage, and it is stated that the position will probably be accentuated by the visit of tho Prince of Wales. v Apparently a largo number of trucks, over 150 at any rate, are <t present held up in Adtiington Workshops being fitted with ,seat 3 and awnings -for the purpose' of, carrying passengers to the Royal festivities, and their loss in produce carrying time is being felt.
