The Institute'.'of; Itiie Sailors' Friend Society'was filled'-'with, seafarers on Thursday, who had assembled to meet their hostess: Mk.. E,'Mv'Patterson, who was ably/assisted'by■ Mesdames Edwards, Potts, and-'Patterson', and Misses Ramsey,' Brown,, OJConnor, Lee, Henderson, and Mc's'au Jenkins, Stubley, Conuell, Doyle, Woods, Payne,- Jones. Misses Henderson and Gem were at the piano, Mr. Mooro announced that Easter plans for the men's plcasi.rc were well,'in hand. All the lads of the Amokura presented | a signed token of affection to Mr. 11. T. Johns on his return from holiday. The competition prizes came- from Mfees Laurenson and O'Connor, and went to men of the Port Nafior and Suffolk.
