Cablo Assn JEWISH POGROM SOUTH RUSSIA HABEOWINGDESCRIFTION. London, March 21. A harrowing description of Jewish pogroms in South "Russia last year is detailed in the Keff Belief Committee's renort Over 30,000 were murdered in tho Ukraine. Of these deaths, 35,000 arc ascribed to Petlura's regulars, especially when the troops were compelled to evacuate the territory. Altogether 372 places were registered where jogroms occurred, "bringing the total to 70,000 victims. Numbers died in their wanderings, or wero thrown out of express trains and steamers, or starved. Women were frcouently violated before they wero slain. Only bayonets were used because of the expensi.veness of cartridges. Grenades were thrown into cellars- where the Jews were liidinr;.
