■ $ The twenty-ninth annual meeting of the Petone Football Club was held on Thursday. In the absence of Mr. A. Coles, Mr. J. H. Lynskcy presided. Thore was an attendance of over 100 members, and the proceedings were very enthusiastic. The report and balancesheet were adopted. Mr. W. Donovan (vice-club captain), in a brief speech, congratulated, and extended a very hearty welcome to all those members who had returned from doing their duty at the front.
