THE LATE MR. D. J. NATHAN
RESOLUTION OF HARBOUR BOARD. Reference to the death of tho lato Mr. D. J. Nathan was made by tho chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board (Mr. J. G. 'Harkness) at the meeting of the board last night. Mr, Harkness submitted tho following resolution:— "That tho Wellington Harbour Board resolves to place on record its regret at the untimely decease of Mr. D. J. Nathan, for many years one of Wellington's chief representative men of commerce, and who was from 1902 to 1906 a valued member of tho board. The board further resolves that a letter expressive of its sympathy and condolence be forwarded to the family and relatives of the deceased gentleman.-"
Mr. Harkness said that the late Mr. Nathan had been one of the most capable nsd successful business men of this city, and that by his death Wellington had suffered a serious loss.
The resolution- was affirmed by the members upstanding.
