"DOMINION" STAFF PICNIC
Favoured with perfect weather The Dominion picnic at Maidstono Park proved in every way successiul. All departments -were represented. In the forenoon a novelty cricket match between ladies and men (latter hatting, bowling and fielding with left hand) was won by the ladies. Children's races were also a feature and every child present received a toy, fruit and lollies. A six-a-side Soccor match was also played and games indulged in. The sports programme was a lengthy one, and the results were as follow:—Ollico juniors'handicap: Richards 1, W. Scott 2. Singlo ladies' handicap: Miss Rita Macintyre 1, Miss Martin 2. Boys' race: N. M'Kay 1, ft. Kidd 2, ft. Wright 3. Girls' race: Miss Ruby Macintyre 1. Miss Jean Plimmer 2, Miss Hester Plimmer 3. Mechanical department handicap: Collins 1, Cliilds. 2. Commercial and literary department handicap: Guy 1, Plimmer 2. Thread-the-needle: Miss TJsmar and Mr. Chillis 1. Quoits competition: R. Kidd 1. Married women's race: Mrs. M'Kay 1, Mrs Follett 2. 100 yards office handicap: Clnrlc 1. Collins 2, James 3. Naildriving: Mrs. Follett 1. Combined threelegired race: Scntt and Miss Quinn 1, Roid and Miss 11. Macintyre 2. Married' men's race: Plimmer 1, James 2. Ladies' nomination: Miss Martin (runner Clark) 1, Mrs..
