ANZAC DAY CENOTAPH
Sir,—l am sure nißny people would read with pleasure- in yonr paper of March lli a report that at the returned soldiers' meeting it was 'proposed to erect a temporary cenotaph for Anzac Day opposite the Parliamentary Buildings to the memoir of the soldiers who had given their lives for their country. It has always been, a surprise to in' that a permanent one has not teen erected lons before this. In England very few towns or villages are found without one, and on special anniversaries lire covered with wreaths. To many who are without the hope of ever 6eeing the'last resting-place ■ of their loved ones no better way of celebrating! Anzac Day could Vn found.—l am. etc., LEST WE FOISGMT.
