o TO MEET ON FRIDAY. The first meeting of the Wellinglon Anti-profiteering Tribunal will be heM at the Parliamentary Buildings on Friday, when complaints will be received either by letter or by personal attendance. Difficulty has been experienced in obtaining office accommodation for tl-j tribunal, but temporary arrangements have been made. The committees will not be restricted to work in the four chief centres, 'but will cover the provincial districts also. As soon as possiblo they will hold Isitbiivgs ill provincial centres. Special instructions have been giren to the committee by the Government that they should use their own initiative in seeking.out cas?s of profit, eering. They are not required to war* for written or formal complaints. THE AUCKLAND TRIBUNAL. By Telegraph-Press Association. Auckland, March 16. The Auckland tribunal appointed to in. quire into complaints of profiteering, met yesterday. Statements were made_ that certain business firms made a practice of holding in hand credit balances duo to purchasers, whose money hnd been forwarded with the order for goods. It was also alleged that attempts were mndo by unauthorised committees to fix standard prices for purchases from producers. These matters will receive duo consideration.
