Christchurch, March 11. One of the largest lots of stud sheep (comprising English I.eicosters, Southdowns, Kyelands, and Shropshire) ever submitted' for sale by one breeder, was submitted at the showgrounds to-day, when Mr. J. Andrew's flocks were sold. There was a representative attendance of sheep-breeders, and the competition for various lots was fairly keen. English Leicester stud rams sold at up to seven guineas# but. a large number were passed in. The Rye-lands offered sold well, a pen of flock ewes making 15 guineas, but Down flock ewes, both Shropshires and Southdown, were hard to quit.
