SWIMMING SPORTS
WELLINGTON GIRLS' COLLEGE. Swimming sports' in connection with the Girls' College were held at Te Aro Baths in ideal weather. Thero was a record number of entries, and a great variety of races. ..Judging fropi the keen competition, swimming is a popular pastime ambng the girls of Wellington College. Mrs. Marehbanks, Mr. Collier (exsecretary of the Life-saving Association), and': iLiss Eathpin .acted as judges, and jMr.:.iCnlnan-'(of the-Te Aro Bath?) gave valuable assistance in starting the races. Great..; credit was. given to Miss Blenkhorn,<Miss Marehbanks, and Miss J. Grant; games mistresses of the college, for! a .very successful function. Miss M'Le'ah;' , .'ladyprincipal of the college, and ■ members of tho staff were present. The l results were as follow:—
