DISORDERS IN PORTUGAL
COMMUNICATION STOPPED BY STRIKES. London, March 5. Grave unconfirmed reports ore circulating regarding Portugal, where labour troubles arc acute. A railway, postal, and telegraphic strike' is in progress, and all communication has completely ceased.—Rcuter. Madrid, March 5. Official.—The Mayor, Senor Tuy, reports''that according to travellers from Portugal, disorders have broken out. Shots were fired in Lisbon and Oporto, and a military train was bombed and fired on while approaching Vinnodocastello.—Renter. RUMOURS OF RESOLUTION DENIED. (Rec. March 10, 5.5 p.m.) Paris, March 5. Tho Portuguese Legations at Paris and Madrid deny the rumours of a revolution at Lisbon, and declare that the strike is tho only event of any consequence.—Reuter.
