A voting child of Mrs. Ernie Thorns, of Maniraohoe. met with an accident while going to school. Mrs. Thomas got the eldest bov to drive a car containing her, the iniured child, and a baby to To Kuiti for medical attention While the ear was crossing a small creek that is generally dry, water flooded the engine. The boy went for help, but on his return he found that the ear and its occupants had disappeared. The bodv of Mis. Thomas has been recovered, but tho bodies of the two children are still missing.
