ST. PATRICK'S DAY
CELEBRATIONS IN WELLINGTON. The committee responsible for the celebration of St. Patricks Day has been working hard during the past taw months in preparing the necessary.plans for tho fitting celebration of Ireland s national lav. A splendid sports programme has been prepared, and valuable tiophies hive been allocated to the various events. Large numbers of entries are coming forward, so that there will be fields. A tug-ot-war competition will be held, and there is a prospect of six teams entering. Tho usual procession will take place, the route being fro:u Boulcott Street to Newtown Park by the main thoroughfares. The procession will include tableaux, motors, members of the Hibernian Society. Catholic school clnldjyn, St. Patrick's College students, and Catholic clergy. The national concert will be held in the Town Hall in tho evening. In addition to leading local talent, tho services of .Messrs. Fred. G. Bourke, of Auckland, and Walters, of Oamaru, have been secured.
