3 I WIN FOR M'CONACHY. I The' M'Conachy-Crossan billiard match wan brought to a conclusion on Saturday night, the champion winning very easily. The final scores were: A 1 Conachy, 9000; Crossan (receives 4SOO), 7603. In the afternoon M'Conachy failed to add anything to his unfinished break of 201. However, he put up breaks of .89, 113, and 99, all masterly efforts. Dur--3 ing the ovening session M'Cor.ach.v topped a tlio century three times with breaks of 117, lfli. 176. Crossnn still played well. ; but the brilliance of his export opponent 0 overshadowed hiin. M'Conachy, who is ; admittedly a player of the highest do--9 gree, wad loudly applauded at the con--1 elusion of the game. _ • Mr. Voseler, general manager of Messrs. Alcock an<s Co., Ltd., on behalf of the 1 promoters and the public, sincerely 1 thanked the proprietor of the Albert Parlour for placing the tooiu at the promoters' disposal for a full week, absolutely freo of cost. Ho mentioned that it was entirely duo to tho generosity of the proprietor that they had been privileged to see billiards which he was suro everyone had enjoyed very much. He considered M'Conachy was equal to tho best, and felt sure that in him the Dominion would be well <ind worthily represented in the world's tourney. Sir William Fraser and other prominent gentlemen were present at tho evening session.
