LAND BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING CONTINUED.

The Land Board continued its )monthly meeting yesterday. The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. G. H. M'Clure) presided, and there were also present Messrs. J. Dawson. IT. T. Ellingham,' J. Gnorgetti, and C. 'M'lntyre. . _ The business in open meeting was ivory light, ibut there was a considerable amount of work to be done in committee. The. board had to deal with 110 applications for purchase of farm properties by discharged soldiers, and 211. applications for purchase of residential properties by discharged soldiers, all of which wero considered in committee.

The following transfer was granted :— li Section 20, Block VIII, Tirirnnkawa S.D., |!470 acres, Carl Victor Anderson to James j Henry Graham and Pobert Graham (discharged soldiers).

The board decided to offer Stewart Watkins a renewal of his Education Reserve lease over part section 449, Block I, Wairoa S.D., 82 acres 38 perches, for a further terra of 21 years from /rpril 1, 1920.

A. H. Westwood, 11 returned soldier, applied for a lease of part section 44. Hnwacnea Village, 9' acres, and offered £30 for Hie buildings op tho section.—Adjourned.
