WAIMATE SETTLEMENT
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dargavillc, February 25. Seventy applications ''were considered by the Land Hoard to-day for the Waimate settlement. The following members of the Laud Board were present:— Messrs. It. P. flrevillo (Commissioner), A. Finlavawi, Trurißon, M. AitVenhead, J. E. Wills, and Forbes. Mr. Edie represented the Returned Soldiers' Association during tho examination Eleven were veiected, leaving 50 for the ballot. The ballot resulted as follows —Section 1, IC3 acres, Thomas Graham; section 2, 210 acres, Jack Finlayson; section 3, 210 acres, Oliver Oldficld; section 4, 388 ncrK S. Peterson; section 5, 105 acres, (i B. Woods; section G, 35R acres, Dan Nash; section 7, 212 acres, Raudnll Manson; section 8, 305 acres, R, Swnnick; section 9, 323 acres, J. M. Clayton; section 10. 210 acres. C. F. M. Turkington; section'll, 373 acres, Michael J. Lyons; section 12, 201 acres, Edward Russell; section 13, 232 acres. A. L. M'Kenzie; section U, 536 acres, R. Ellis; section 15, 17C acres, D. K. Sutherland.
