SECOND-HAND DEALING

Invercargill, February 25. Mr. G..Cruickshank\ S.M., gave reserved decision to-day., in a case-in which a cycle-agent was charged with carrying on business as a second-hand dealer with, out being licensed to do so. The Magistrate . held, that transactions in secondhand machines,- of' common occurrence ip the cycle trade, brought the dealer within the statute. It made no difference that dealing in second-hand machines was onlv occasional and incidental to defendant's real business. A conviction- was- entered without a pen« .al.ty.. . .
