"One of tho most extraordinary, cases wis have had,"' declared, Sub-Inspector Wohlmann when Alfred Sexton, of HoOsonviilc, was charged with having sold adulterated milk, in which the deficiency of milk fat and the excess of water ran to 40 per cent, and 50 per cent, respectively,, , An analysis made suggested that: the Mixture wiis in some eases, three buckets of water to two of milk, and that was the sort of-article that defendant,sold to, the Takapuna Dairy Company. His Worship quoted from t.hn analyst s reports the comment: "One, of the •most"grossly adulterated samples of milk I have ever analysed." He stated Hint u tho milk had been sold to the public for use instead of being sold to a factory defendant would have been sent to gaol; As it was, defendant would be fined .£SO 1 and costs.
