DEATH FROM A FALL,

Auckland, February 21. A seaman named Pierre Marie, one of the crew of th? steamer Kaituna, died in the hospital as the result of injuries received in an accidental fall.
KILLED BY A LOG,
Taihape, February 21. JoseDh John Logan, a returned soldier, twentv-six vears of age who was recently married, was killed while cross-cut-tin? The log rolled on him, carrying Him' downhill into the bed of the creek, and pinned him there.
