CHRISTCHURCH SITTINGS,
(By Telceranh—Press Association.) Christchurch, February 21. This morning representatives of the Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin master bakers waited upon tho Board of Trado to discuss the price of bread. Statements of their costings wero submitted by the bakers, and these- are now under consideration by the board. The conference will bo resumed on Monday, when tho board hopes to finish ita Christchurch business. Tho appeal of tho Board of Trade for specific instancos of profiteering to bo brought under its notice has met with a very poor response in Christchurch. Apart from one or two minor complaints, tho only case brought to tho boards notice was mentioned in an anonymous letter This was not taken up, for tho board will not take nny.action unless the chnrgo is backed up by the namo of the person making it.
