A meeting of the Palmerston : North, branch of the Amalgamated Society of Hallway Servants passed the following resolution on Saturday; "That the Executive Council of tho A.SJt.S. draw the attention of tho Prime Minister to the hoarding of.hides in..the Dominion, causing inflated prices of boots and boot repairs; mid that-the council request tho Government to take immediate steps lo release hides n» ft means of preventing an industrial upheaval in tho near future."—Press Asm.
