WOMEN'S NATIONAL RESERVE
PRAISE FROH PBTME MINISTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, February 17. Tlio Dominion conference of the Women's National Besorvo is to be officially oncned here to-morrow. Delegates from all narts of New Zealand were entertained here to-day. There was a drive in the morning and a garden party in the afternoon. At the garden pnrty an illuminated address was presented to Hrs. Porter (Dominion organiser of the reserve). in recognition of her splendid work during the war. ' The following telegram was received from the Prime Minister: "On behalf of the Government I desire tp thank the executive officers and members of tho Women's National Reserve tor the splendid work they have performed during tho war period. It has been carried on vnrv often without ostentation, bnt I desire to assure your executive of the full nDoreciation of the Government for tho ioval co-ooeratiou and assistance which i:he reserve has rendered. lam sure that much of the good work achieved has been due to the untiring efforts of Mrs. Porter, your organiser, and I am exceedingly pleased to it/am that the e*eoutive is making practical recognition of her services. Please convey to her, also, the thanks of the Government." It was suggested that reunions of tho reserve should be held throughout the Dominion on Armistice Day.
