THE SAMOAN TRIP

PARLIAMENTARY PARTY SAILS. The Parliamentary party that is to visit Samoa and other islands left Wellington aboard the Mokoia yesterday afternoon. It consisted tinaily of about forty members of the Legislature, headed by the Minister of Defence (Sir James Allen), and various public officers who have been entrusted with duties of one ltind and another. The Administrator of Samoa, Colonel Tate, left with the party. The members of the party were well pleased with their quarters aboard the Mokoia. Owing to tlio fact that only about one-third of the members of Parliament 'had arranged to make the trip, there was plenty of room on the steamer. It lias been arranged that the Mokoia shall brins; a cargo of raw sugar' from Fiji 011 the return trip. The steamer is expected to proceed direct to Auek-' land in order to land this suenr. The Mokoia is due nt Rarotonga. on February 17; leaves on February 18 for Mangaia; arrives at and leaves Mangaia on February 19; arrives at and leaves Aitntaki on February 20; arrives at and leaves Niue on February 23; arrives at Apia on February 24: leaves Apia on March 1; arrives at Yavau on March 2 and leaves on March 8; arrives at and leaves Nukualofa on March 4; arrives nt Suva on March 6; leaves on March 8, arriving at Auckland on March 12.
