Burns, Philp, and Co. have an., nounced that one steamer will bo'<lisnatchcd direct to England from tho Islands, and others will bo chartered for tho Island and Eastern trade. It is not now likely that the wliolo of tho steamers of tho Burns, Philp Tslajid Line will' again bo put into commission.—Pross Assn. [An earlier message conveyed news that Messrs. Burns, Philp and Co. had announced that ns the result of the Labour unrest in Australia the company had decided to build no further steamers at present, but. instead would endeavour to send Island produce direct to Ihiropo and America by chartered vessels, and to reduce its present Island lleet.l ENGINEERS OFFER TO PURCHASE FLEET. .
