Regarding tho alleged injustice suffered by tho Westport Jockey Club, and Iho statement that the club received no advice as to the withdrawal of tho license for its second day's racing, (he Bacii'i; Conference states that on receipt of advice that the license had been withdrawn it immediately notified the Westport Club of the Minister's decision. On ascertaining at a' later dote that the Grcymonth District Committee had passed a two (lavs' programme for the Wcriport Club, the Racing Conference cnllnd the attention of the Greymouth district 'Committee to the previous notification to the Wcstport Club. , Tho Racing Conference sympathises with the Wcstport Club in the matter, nnd has no responsibility for the transfer of the day to the trottw meoting held in honour of Admiral Jellicoe.
