PAY OF MUSICIANS

At a sitting of the Conciliation Council in the musicians' dispute, it was agreed in tho case of continuous picture entertainments that where the orchestra is employed for one performance nightly, no less than .£3 ss. a week shall be paid, each performance not exceeding three hours excepting in tho caso of pianists, who may play for four hours if paid a minimum of £i a weok; performers to bo paid ss. for first matinee and lis. for subsequent matinees in each week.
