PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB. The third series of points' races nf first, second, and third-class was set down for last Saturday. There were no third-class starters. Tlio Galatea, lolanthc, Lizzie, and Windward started in the second class, and the Waitangi, Marangi. Bona, Atulnnta, and Viola started in tlio first class. Handicaps were at the start, but the race resolved itself into a drift. The rule provides that unless finished at 7 p.m. all races must he abandoned. This was very hard luck for tlio Galatea in the second class, which stood on after the Post Office clock struck the hour. She crossed the lino 25 seconds after the time-limit. The Marangi had similar had hick in the first class. She stood on and crossed th.9 lino two minutes after the time-limit. The racV, however, will have (o he resailed later in the season.
