.Sydney, February 3. Owing to tho shortage of sugar, nona is available for making jam, and consc- ' quently there is a plethora of fruit. The City Council has licensed a largo number of barrowmen to sell in tho streets and enable people to buy cheaply fruit which otherwise would bo destroyed.— Press Assn. '•
