After extensive inquiries concerning the air defence of the Commonwealth, Genernl Leggo has recommended tha establishmnt of ■ sixteen nqundrons of twenty-five aeroplanes each, two flying boat squadrons, 200 large passenger aeroplanes for commercial use, a central flying school, and ten or twelve aerodromes; also an establishment for tho manufacture of engines nnsl metal parts of aeroplanes. The capital involved is estimated nt 421,500,000, and tho annual upkeep at ,£l,ooo,ooo.—Press Assn.
