I< • Gunson) has telegraphed as follows to tho Prime Minister -.-"Suggest for your consideration following bo 6ubTiiitteil to parlies- concetncd ior tho iminediftto settlement of the coal miners' dispute:(1) The miners' demands as to wages and conditions to be referred to a special tribunal of five, members, whose decision shall be accepted by both miners and owners; (2) the' Special tribunal shall consist of two persons appointed by the miners and fro persons appointed by tho owners, none of whom siliall bo directly concerned in tho dispute. These shall aiipmnt a lillli inciiiDLM', who shall bo chairman, and if they fail to make! such appointment tho Government snail appoint such fiftiii member, .who shall not be directly concerned in the dispute. I lie Government shall defray the cost. (J) Tho miners to abandon the go-slow-policy and forthwith the maximum output.'" Tho Mayor adds:— "This would overcome the difficulties facing Wii Government, tho owners, and tho miners. The position in Auckland is such that''l trust tho matter may bo arranged immediately." f
