CONTROL OF SHANTUNG
\ JAPANESE'DEMAND TITLE DEEDS. Washington, January 31. The Japanese Embassy states that the .Tnpanese Government has demanded that Germany shall supply the title deeds relating to the German rights in Shantung within thirty days after the Peace Treaty comes into force. Not desiring to delay the beginning of negotiations until the documents are received, Japan ' :ns already asked . China to commence negotiations.—Renter.
