Ltd. report that at the Levin yards on Tuesday they offered a small entry of sheep and a- good yarding of cattle, the bulk of which sold at the following prices;— Medium fat cows, £9 18s. to £10 145.; light fat heifers, £9; vealers, -ss. to 505.; forward-condition tows, £7 2s. 6d. to £8 10s.; store cows. £4 7s. 6d. If £6 45.; yearling steers, £3 to £3 '45.; small yearling heifers, £4; good Jersey cross heifers (r.w.b.), £9 10s. to £10Ms.; weaner calves, 20s. to 505.; yearling hulls, £2 12s. 6d. to £4 Bs.; Jersey bulls (potters), £7 2s. fid. to £9 12s. e-tl.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agciiiiy Co. Ltd. report on their lirst Pongaroa ram sale held on Wednesday. There was a largo entry, especially of one and two-shear Romnoys, also a lot of aged used rains. Although the competition was not keen, any good rams sold well. Quotations:—One-shear Roinucys. 3i to 51 guineas; two-shear Romnoys, 4, 5, 6, and 7 guineas; throe-shear and four-shear Romleys, 2 to 5 guineas; three-shear Lincnlnn, 6, 7, 8, to 9 guineas; four-shear Lincolnn, 11 to 4 guineas.

Messrs. Dalgcty and Company Limited, Palnierston North, report having hold their fortnightly sale a! Tstihape.on Wednesday, when a good yarding of both sheep and cattle came to hand. There was a good attendance of .buyers, and all lines submitted were disposed of at prices in favour of sellers, the market being inclined to harden for all classes of stock, especially lambs and wethers. Quotations:— Cull lambs, 4s. 4d., 65., to 6s. 9d.; mixed shorn lambs, 12s. 10d.; mixed, woolly lambs, small. Us. 9d.; better sorts, !ss. to 15s. In spite of competition being far from brißk, a total'clearance was elfctd at satisfactory prices. The Wairarapa. Farmers' Co-op Association Ltd., Pahiatua, report on the undermentioned sales as follow:—At Woodvillo on Monday we offered a small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. Sheep wero in good demand, and a good clearance was effected. Cattle met an improved market on late reports. Fat and forward cows in particular sold at good prices.
