REVIEW OF AGREEMENT SOUGHT.
Reports of discontent among the freezing workers arc general throughout New Zealand. Tho agreement under which tho men are working was signed in .April, lill'J, and it has it currency of two years, so that it will not expire ':ntil April of next year in the ordinary course. The agreement may, however, be reviewed or the rates increased by tho addition of a bonus in view of the increased 'cost of living. Tho Freezing Workers' Federation has decided to ask the associated freezing companies for a conference, with the object of reviewing the wages granted under last year's agreement. Pi-is reported that the companies are prepared to make an offer of an increase in tne l.ill'M" -rates, and the prospects of a settlement ire considered to be fairly bright. • .
