MOTORIST KILLS A MAN AND DASHES ON .
} A STOLEN CAR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, January 27. A motor accident with fatal rosulta occurred yesterday afternoon at Penrose. ■Arthur John Horton, a married man aged 48, was cycling, ,when a motor-car travelling at a- great rate overtook and ran him down. Although an eye-witness, of the accident beckoned to the driver of the car the latter merely turned his head and dashed on, leaving his victim on tho roadway with concussion of tho brain, a fracture of the base of tho skull, othei 6cvere. injuries to head and face, ,and internal bleeding. Tho car was not driven by its owner, but had been appropriated by two persons at present unknown. II was found deserted later at Onehunga. Horton was engaged as . a greaser (it Westfield Freezing Works. He died in hospital last night
