AVe must bo loyal to the association rules. It was not often that ho differed from his old friend Mr. Brookes, but ho did in this matter. He added that it was partly due to the play of Wilding that Australasia had been'r-ble to retain' tjio cup in the present vear and the previous year, and it would ill become thorn to make any effort that would cause any disruption of the Australasian Tennis Association.
