CONFLAGRATION AT SEA
CHATHAM ISLANDS REPORT. , The Secretary to the Post Office received the following wireless messago shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday:— "Chatham Islands—Report received from Kuingarna slates that what appeared to he a fire some distance out to sea. was observed about 9 p.m. on Sunday. "After about an hour the reflection died out. No farther indications were observed."
