The Washington correspondent of the "New York Times" stales that tho Republican "mild reservationists" have announced that they havo reached tycord with the Democrats upon four items in the proposed . Treaty compromise. Senator Lodge's , reservation, demanding tho approval of the other nations to all the reservations adopted, will be eliminated. His resolutions dealing with Shantung, the Labour clause, and tho voting power in the League, have been accepted by the Democrats. It is believed that the compromise will be successful if the conferees can reach agreement upon Senator Lodge's reservations dealing with Article Ten and tho Monroe doctrine.—Aus.-N.si. Cable Assn.
