DOMINION-CONFERENCE. Tho annual Dominionconferenco of thi Church of England lien's Society is being held at St. Peter's Clubroom. Ghuzneo Street, under the presidency or tho Eight Rev. Lord Bishop of AVcllington. Preliminary devotional services were held at St.Barnnbas's Church, Eoscjrioath, when the Bishop gavo a series of most helpful addresses to the delegates. Fifty representatives are present from all tho six New Zealand dioceses, and tho visitors were welcomed by tho .Wellington brothers at a happy social gathering on Wednesday evening. Tho Rev. W. Bullock, C.F., was given a warm welcome as organising secretary for tho Dominion. The annual report of the general secretary, tho Veh. Archdeacon Russell, stated, that over one-third of their members had gono fo the war, of whom H2 had been killed, a loss of 20 per cent. Archdeacon Russell was warmly cheered for'his ton years' work-as general secretary, and hearty thanks wero'given to Mc.-r-s, .T. C. Adams and C. M. Strachey. of Ghristchiireh, for their great services as editor and man. ager of the "Men's Magazine" for several years, as. well as to Mr. ,1. W. Henderwin for his valuable work as treasurer of tho Headquarters Fund. The new Rule of Life, as adopted by the Birmingham Conference of the whole sneicly, was accented for New Zealand, and it was decided that members should, on some future fixed date, unitedly renew their pledge nf. membership under the new rule. Representations are to he made by Mr, W. Nash, of New Plvniouth. who is shortly visiting England, to headouarters there, urging that fuller consideration be given to the conditions in overseas dominions in regard <to the admission of associates and other niaKers, The new 'badeo of the society was adopted, but the old badge will continue to 1>« used until Hie general renewal of membership, which will not take place nnlil after Hip next Dominion conference in Auckland..
