A bleak wind was j blowing, and showers fell at intervals 6 , during the afternoon. The ninth round j of the rink championship was concluded, leaving 44 rinks in the sectional coin- g petition. The remaining games will be j played on the two-life principle. On j Friday, tho singles championship commenced. The final games in the doubles (; yhampionshipovill probably be concluded on Tuesday night. It was originally 2 intended that the tournament should a close on Saturday, but owing to the 1 large entry and the remarkable number of rinks left in the tournament cannot j possibly lie finished before Tuesday.
